March Horoscopes

March is one of the most heated, purifying, and tumultuous months of the year. We start the month with Venus stationing retrograde on March 1, asking us to reevaluate our relationships based on inherent self-worth. Transactional relationships may need to be reimagined as Venus moves from Aries to Pisces throughout the retrograde cycle. You’re more aware of what can help you to feel seen and respected. (Hint: It starts with self-confidence, radical acceptance of what is, and the willingness to change.)

Mercury enters Aries on March 3, motivating us to assert ourselves with our partners, coworkers, or family members. Consider daily affirmations or other practices to reinforce movements toward a greater love of self, and I mean love all of you, including the shadows!

The Sun, conjunct with Saturn, transits on March 12 and acts like a parental force in the Lunar Eclipse chart for March 13. We have a stellium in Pisces and one in Aries, signifying the changing of guards. We’re moving away from floating through life waiting for invitations, and we’re entering a new phase where we need to be clear about our intentions and be fearless in asserting them. This eclipse asks you not to give in to the myth that you’re a victim of circumstances but rather to take responsibility for your life and make it the best life possible.

Because Venus is retrograde, we must be intentional about having a good time. We want to remember to laugh, dance, sing, and play. Look to your natal Venus placement for clues about how to bring more enjoyment into your life.

The eclipse tunnel – that two-week period between the Lunar Eclipse on March 13 and the Solar one on March 29 – conjures deep feelings. Give yourself extra time for unexpected encounters or illnesses. It’s a good idea to boost your Vitamin C and antioxidants, too. The Pisces/Virgo axis line emphasizes healing, but sometimes, we must identify a diagnosis before we can treat the disease. Consider this metaphor if you experience health concerns or are moving through any upsets in your relationships.

Mercury in Aries stations retrograde on March 14 and goes direct again on April 7. This retrograde cycle asks us to limit contact with people who are complaining or focusing on negativity. The influence of Saturn in Pisces shows us being more sensitive to criticism. Life could feel more challenging as resistance pushes us back to the past. Isolation may be a familiar coping strategy, but there are rewards for breaking out of your comfort zone. You could meet a soulmate! Or you could connect with someone to open the door to a phenomenal opportunity.

The March 29 Aries Solar Eclipse will awaken deep connections, especially within ourselves, teaching us what it means to love as freedom—freedom to be ourselves, express our needs, and nurture our growth.

This eclipse period is about confronting difficult truths in our relationships rather than sweeping them under the rug. The universe calls us to face the transformational work ahead. The Sabian Symbol for 9˚ Aries is A crystal gazer. The symbolism reminds us to keep our eyes open as we may see glimpses of the future. We are awakening to our spiritual gifts and new ways of perceiving our lives.

The chart for the eclipse features Venus and Mercury going retrograde. Mercury at 0˚ Aries 28' is moving toward Neptune at 29˚ Pisces 57'. Could we receive a guiding message or some revelation during this lunation? The Aries Moon compels us to act courageously, inspiring a new beginning in our lives. The presence of Saturn close to the North Node suggests we have decisions to make – we are moving beyond limiting beliefs to claim our heart's desires.
