September Horoscopes

On September 1, Saturn re-enters Pisces, helping us spiritualize our commitments and revisit our relationship to the ineffable. Saturn still has clean-up to do with healthcare, the entertainment industry, and pharmaceuticals (Pisces sectors). Saturn's journey through Pisces started with the industry strikes in Hollywood, and things haven't been the same. Saturn transits offer us gifts, and we could see this revisit of Pisces corresponding to greenlighted projects or a new wave of indie films. Saturn returns to Aries on February 13, 2026, giving us plenty of time to make the most of Saturn's time in Pisces.

Mercury takes on the role of the editor as it enters Virgo on September 2, making it a time of mental focus and clarity. This transit highlights detailed work, organization, and analysis. It's also back-to-school season for some, signifying a time to attend to new routines and finish chores. What you speak or write will have more reach, rippling out to those who most need the wisdom you have to share.

September 4 and 5 present tension that leads to a breakthrough. Mars squares off with Jupiter on September 4, and Uranus stations retrograde on September 5. These transits show bursts of energy with a need for steady movement – avoid impulsive actions.

Then, the Lunar Eclipse at 15˚ ♓︎ 22 catalyzes the life changes we previously resisted. This lunation chart features Uranus conjunct Sedna, alluding to a revolutionary way of rallying power from the depths of pain or loss. This is a lunation for deep healing, which means making peace with the past, reducing the emotional charge our painful memories have had. The Pisces Moon opens our hearts, and the Virgo Sun helps us organize our thoughts about our feelings. The Moon conjoins Neptune and Saturn on September 8, forming a sextile to Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Aquarius that day. These signatures heighten the transformative qualities of the Lunar Eclipse.

The vision for this degree of Virgo is, "In the quiet of his study, a creative individual experiences the flow of inspiration.” This image invites us to create space for the spiritual and creative forces to flow through us. It calls us all to channel the sacred, honing its power in our daily lives. We are asked to be our own muses, sourcing inspiration from within rather than seeking it outside ourselves.

Mars opposes Chiron on September 16, helping us confront old painful memories. Any self-confidence, assertiveness, or personal protection challenges may seem more prominent. We're being asked to reframe the painful experiences from our past or the times when we've felt victimized by life circumstances. Journal or reflect on how the challenges in your life played a part in your North Node journey to life purpose. We're all being called to question our perspectives on gender norms and identities. Many will break free from fearful constraints in our relationships.

Mars in Libra prepares us for Mercury's entrance into Libra on September 18. Communication softens, and we privilege diplomacy. We're willing to negotiate for harmonious relationships and collaborate with our allies. This transit lets us all be peacemakers and mediators, which could prove helpful as Venus enters Virgo and the Sun opposes Saturn on September 19.

Mars is also in a quincunx aspect to Saturn that day. This influence could heat things up before the Solar Eclipse on September 21 at 29˚♍︎ 05'. Mars opposes the Sun and irritates Saturn, and emotional restraint and frustration could spike. This transit offers a reality check for relationships and desires. Love what loves you back, and prune the rest.

We end the season in the dark of the Moon before the eclipse at a critical degree – 29˚♍︎ 05'. The image for this degree is, "Totally intent upon completing an immediate task, a man is deaf to any allurement." This vision encourages us to stay focused and reach our spiritual goals. It's a helpful reminder to stay present, despite the uncertainty of these times. After all, shifting currents can bring different types of opportunities our way.

The Sun moves into Libra on September 22, following the eclipse at the anaretic degree, ushering in the equinox and calling us into balance. Libra’s cardinal air asks us to initiate peace, to harmonize, to reorient toward justice and fairness. We recall the horrors of geopolitical events that have filled our news feeds and burned our hearts. This is a season that calls us to step up as co-creators of a new narrative, one that will unfold over the next six months, culminating with the March 2026 Pisces eclipse.

But this quarter begins with drama as Mars squares Pluto on September 24. This fiery, catalytic aspect can reveal power struggles or hidden tensions. It invites us to ask, “Am I in a battle that isn’t mine to fight?” We are called to examine how life circumstances may be reflections of our unresolved inner conflicts. Do we have warring factions within us pulling us in different directions?

We’re all familiar with the cartoon representations of the angel and devil on the shoulder. This quarter lets you face both and see the perilous path each leads us toward. The angel shows us a life of repression, self-sacrifice, or toxic positivity. The devil shows us the expression of our ego’s base desires without care for the consequences of our actions. Both can be destructive. As we move into October, we will be integrating the two.
